Hostgator Review – Top Notch Web Host?
Quick ReviewAbout: Hosting, Internet Marketing
What We Liked:all users have access to the cPanel for website enhancement , each of the hosting plans comes with unlimited disk space, sub-domains, bandwidth, FTP and email accounts , SSL certification , efficient customer support service , Hostgator coupons , 99.9 percent uptime
What We Disliked:the introductory email has direct link on how to set up the control panel but it looks different from what users see on the Hosting tab, ever since Hostgator server has migrated to another owner quality of services has went down.
Hostgator reviews are filled with disappointment over this former great web host. True that Hostgator VPS hosting and other plans remains cheap and that they remain to offer coupon Hostgator for discounts. However, former loyal subscribers to discount coupon hostgator offers are no longer satisfied with the service. According to most Hostgator reviews ever since Hostgator server has migrated to another owner out comes the very thing that has made it one of the most favorite web host in this industry. This Hostgator review serves as a wake- up call to the present Hostgator administrators do start implementing changes because if not pretty soon the 8 million domains hosted with this company might slowly migrate away from Hostgator server into a new one. One way of clearing some of the misunderstanding is to be clear when sending out emails regarding migration issues.
If subscribers will wants to have their Hostgator SSL installed they must remind these users that IP change happens since the computer that they are using will remember the old IP. This Hostgator SSL migration will go away after a few hours and will undeniably affect the users’ website. Emailed instructions will be send to Hostgator support so that whoever is handling Hostgator SSL migration will give these instructions on how to refresh Windows internal cache of DNS entries and speed things up in the process. Since Hostgator has been faithfully providing its subscribers with materials and articles that they can use to solve their technical and similar problems. However, this will not help any of their customers who do not find time to consult these instructions. Subscribers might be too busy to read these instructions and must be reminded that these exists. With the takeover/buyout from EIG who knows what new changes will take place with this web hosting provider. Those who are about to make a decision on subscribing to this provider must think twice. Unless the issues mentioned are resolve they cannot expect that they will still get the same great service that Gator is known for. EIG might come up with a brilliant option for those who are still hoping for the best.
Update: After recent attempt to work with Hostgator customer support, we have decided to lower their score, as our last interactions and other user interactions with Hostgator has degraded to one of the worst in the industry. If you are looking for a good webhost stay away as far as possible from Hostgator. A good Alternative can be: Traffic Planet Hosting
